This notice explains how My Way Cars Ltd uses personal information when you enquire about or request a private-hire journey.
Last updated: 22 September 2026
Who is responsible for your information?
My Way Cars Ltd is responsible for the personal information it receives through this website, by telephone, by email and during the provision of booked journeys.
Information we may collect
- Your name, telephone number and email address.
- Pickup and destination addresses, journey dates and times, passenger numbers and flight details.
- Accessibility, luggage, child-seat or other journey requirements that you choose to provide.
- Booking, payment, communication and complaint records.
- Technical information needed to keep our website and booking service secure.
How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and provide quotations.
- To assess, confirm, manage and complete bookings.
- To communicate journey information to the assigned licensed driver.
- To issue invoices or receipts and maintain legally required business and booking records.
- To prevent misuse, investigate complaints and protect passengers, drivers and the business.
Our reasons for using the information
We use personal information where it is necessary to take steps at your request before a booking, to fulfil a confirmed booking, to meet legal obligations, or for legitimate business interests such as security, record keeping and handling complaints. Where consent is required, you may withdraw it.
Who we may share it with
We share only what is reasonably necessary with the driver or transport provider completing the journey, service providers supporting our booking and communication systems, professional advisers, regulators, licensing authorities or law-enforcement bodies where required. We do not sell customer information.
How long we keep it
Unsuccessful enquiries are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer them and manage follow-up. Confirmed booking, payment and business records are kept for the periods required by licensing, tax, accounting and other legal obligations. Information is then deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.
Cookies and external services
The main website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Selecting “Request a booking” opens our separate secure booking service, which may process technical information needed for security and operation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or a portable copy. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
